The Turramurra High School Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) is an active and dynamic group that actively welcomes new members and involvement. We are a group of parents who want to have input into our children’s education and P&C is the mechanism that allows us to do that.
P&C meetings are held at the school on the third Wednesday of each month during school terms at 7.30pm in the Common Staff Room in A Block. Involvement in the P&C provides a real opportunity for you to contribute to the development of the school and to hear, directly from the principal, all the great things that are happening at the school.
The P&C is also the parent body responsible for providing the following facilities/opportunities for you and your child:
We run a healthy style canteen and offer a wide variety of food. The P&C has financed the complete rebuild of the canteen over December 2012/January 2013 providing Turramurra High School with a modern and efficient canteen that will benefit both the students and staff for years to come. The canteen is the main fundraiser for the P&C, the money raised allows us to plan for further improvements around the school!
P&C run a uniform shop for your convenience and it is open on Tuesdays from 8am to 1.45pm (closed between 12pm & 12:30pm) and Wednesdays from 11am to 1.45pm of each week of school term. A price list is available on this web site under Uniform Shop.
The band program is a self-funded program run by a group of volunteer parents under the umbrella of P&C. Our bands are well known for their high quality performances, winning many awards and participating in many events.
The P&C works in close co-operation with the school principal and executive and all opinions are listened to. It is this positive working relationship that has allowed us to achieve so much in the last few years – smart boards in every classroom, outdoor tables providing shade and seating for the students, and most recently the canteen being rebuilt, together with a number of smaller projects.
It is through the school executive and the parent community working together that the school achieves the best results for our students. We hope you will join us.
Please do not hesitate to contact the school for any information regarding the P&C. We would love to hear from you!

What did happen to the laser cutter?
In 2016 the purchase of the laser cutter was assisted by the parents of the THS community (via the P&C) with a $25,000 grant. At the our last P&C meeting, 17/5/17 , Will Delves and David Jackson took the time to share with us the impact of this purchase on our childrens' learning. It has had a deep impact on the industrial arts faculty, not only in what can be produced by the students but just importantly in the how they do it - reinforcing the 4Cs.
They produce projects that simply could not be produced using traditional industrial tools. More information, photos & videos can be found on the information sessions page on the THS P&C website.
