Year 9 at Turramurra High School marks the beginning of the transition between the junior and senior high school years. Students are given the choice of three elective subjects allowing them to pursue their areas of interest and ability.
Turramurra High School offers a very broad curriculum with over twenty courses to choose from in Year 9 ranging from Languages to Engineering, Music to Software Design, Food Technology to Visual Arts. Turramurra High caters for every interest.
Students are also able to commence their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme Bronze Award in Year 9. Our highly successful Duke of Edinburgh program involves over fifty students of various ages and teaches students excellent skills in a areas such as problem solving, communication and team work. The Duke of Edinburgh program also allows students the opportunity to learn from and give back to our community.
Year 9 is an important stage of development for our students. At Turramurra High School we assist students to develop self-confidence, a sense of identity and responsibility and an awareness of their own potential.
